If you suspect a child has been abused, please keep calm, tell the child that you believe him or her, show interest and concern, and reassure and support the child by acting, either by contacting a trusted adult or local resource, such as a child’s school counselor or local government agencies.

Report abuse to your local or state child protective service agency, or to your neighborhood police precinct. Reports of alleged child abuse or neglect in Wisconsin should be made to the county where the child or the child’s family resides.
