Dear Friends:
I pray that you all have had a blessed Christmas, regardless of the challenges that are set before us. For most of us, this season is a time for family gathering together, and we were not able to do so in the usual fashion. In spite of that, God knows what we need more than anything else, and the greatest gift of this season is the celebration of the birth of Jesus!
At Agape House we were blessed to have our usual Christmas party; one at the girls’ home and another at the boys’ home. Our goal is for the teens to see God’s love poured forth upon them, and it poured forth this year (as always) in the form of many gifts. Some of the teens are in awe of how many people reach out to them through the gift giving process, and others are a little shy about receiving an abundance of gifts.
We have also been encouraged in many other ways through your support, whether it was the preparation of meals, prayers, time spent with the teens doing something special, or financial donations . . . we all feel your LOVE, and say THANK YOU!
A small group of women from Trinity Church in Pell Lake blessed Agape House with some homemade dinners, which we were able to put into the freezer and save for when needed in the future. What a great idea that will be enjoyed by all!
As we go forward into a new year, we hope you know how grateful we are for all that each one of you have done, in your own way, to continue to encourage the teens, families and staff at Agape House. The need continues to be great, so please continue to pray.
We shared a meal and then opened gifts; it was a very festive time for all!
We also had a visit from our local police department, who surprised them with a special gift: a PS-4for the girls and a Switch for the boys! It was a great opportunity for our teens to visit with them and see that they are regular people.
The girls are sporting their new stocking hats, handmade by one of our supporters! It was Pajama Day for our Christmas party for the girls, and all were in a very festive mood.
