Dear Friends:

This is the verse our girls have been learning at school this week; isn’t it wonderful that we can help them to understand the depth of God’s love for them that He would create them in His image!
Please Pray:
~ for our maintenance volunteer, Bob Milliman (Pam’s 75-yo Dad), who has been overseeing our maintenance issues for several years now, and fell off a ladder this week. Pray for his complete healing, and for someone else to volunteer to fill in the gap.
~ for the girls to truly understand the depth of the knowledge that God has created us in His image!
~ for our upcoming 20th Anniversary Celebration and the preparation process. We have been experiencing attack in many ways; however, we will still celebrate and give all the praise and glory to God!
Praise God:
~ for the beauty of being created in His image.
~ for the changes we are seeing in the girls as they learn to communicate more appropriately!
~ for Team Building at OWLS. TEAM: It’s a tough word to embrace. Diverse personalities, morals, belief systems, ages, outlooks, goals, hurts and past realities make unifying any group of individuals a challenge. But a group of teenage girls is altogether another unique experience! Yet, here they are: United. Behind the scenes this picture included laughter, counsel, wisdom, patience, frustration, teamwork, and a common goal. Last week we went to OWLS (Outdoor Wisconsin Leadership School). The girls had the opportunity to be challenged by multiple activities which encouraged problem solving skills as a whole group. They learned about different ways to communicate and the importance of hearing what is not spoken. They learned that their differences not only unified them, but strengthened them. They learned how to be a TEAM! Every day challenges arise. Sharing bathrooms and bedrooms they find is the easy part. Sharing the areas of their hearts they have walled off is the tough stuff. So we work: Together!
